Sponge iron prices in Rourkela, Odisha rose by INR 50/t on 14 Jan’22. According to sources, limited trades took place amid the ongoing festive mood in the market. Moreover, steel billet prices dropped by INR 100/t d-o-d.
- SteelMint’s assessment for sponge iron, C-DRI (70% lumps and 30% fines), stands at INR 33,550/t ($452/t).
- About 1,240 t of deals were confirmed at INR 33,500-33,600/t exw-Rourkela today.
