USA: Flat steel imports jump 10% to 1.78 mn t in Nov’21

Flat steel imports by the USA stood at 1.78 mn t in Nov’21, an increase of 10% against 1.61 mn t in Oct, as per SteelMint data.

• HRC/plates imports stood at 0.59 mn t, down 2%, m-o-m, while CRC imports jumped 36% to 0.17 mn t in Nov.
• The USA imported majorly from Canada at 0.48 mn t followed by Mexico and South Korea at 0.26 and 0.19 mn t, respectively.
