An Odisha-based producer has exported 5,000 t of sponge iron to Nepal at an average price of INR 34,000/t ($458/t) loaded on to rake, equivalent to $485/t CPT Nepal. The material consists of FeM 80%, mix of 70% lumps and 30% fines. Domestic sponge iron prices remain strong on increase in billet offers. Prices in Odisha rose by INR 800/t ($11/t) in one week. Export prices climbed $15/t against last week.
