SAIL’s flagship Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) held an auction for 3,850 t of pooled iron and iron scrap (recovery rate 78%-83%) on 8 Jan’22. Buyers booked the entire (3,000 t) of pooled iron at a weighted average price of INR 36,950/t. One lot of cast iron (CI) skull was booked at INR 36,550/t and another lot, comprising 300 t of pig casting machine (PCM) scrap, was booked at INR 36,750/t exw.
