Tata Metaliks has increased basic grade pig iron prices by 3% i.e. INR 1,200/t ($16/t). Fresh prices stand at INR 42,800/t. However, the company has kept for foundry grade prices stable at INR 44,900/t. Prices are exw-Kharagpur and applicable for the Kolkata and Howrah markets.
The rise in domestic pig iron prices was followed by an increase in coal and steel prices along with resumption of pig iron exports.
