China: Met coke producers raise prices by RMB 100-120/t ($16-19/t)

Chinese producers have raised met coke prices by RMB 100-120/t ($15.67-18.81/t) as part of the first round of price hike. The rise came with the gradual pick up in steel production in the New Year amid easing logistics constraints in Northern China due to the imposition of smog alerts there. Prices may rise further on supply constraints from Mongolia amid ongoing pandemic checks at the border.
