Melting scrap prices in Alang decreased by INR 300/t today. The trade reference price of HMS (80:20) is assessed at INR 37,000/t. Steel billet prices declined marginally yesterday resulting in a slowdown in trades. However, active buying enquiries were reported by suppliers in Alang. Scrap prices fluctuated in the range of INR 37,000-37,400/t over the last couple of days.
