Eastern Steel Sdn Bhd has commenced construction of its 240,000 t silico manganese project in Malaysia. Eastern Steel Silico-Manganese Alloy Project is the first manganese alloy project in Peninsular Malaysia. In the first phase, a workshop and two 33 MVA fully enclosed manganese-silicon alloy rotary kiln-electric furnaces (RKEF) will be built. The project is expected to start production in Sept’22.
