Heavy structural steel prices in Raipur surged by INR 1,000/t to INR 51,000/t today. Rise in steel billet prices in the region along with improved buying enquiries and trades in heavy structural steel prompted manufacturers to hike offers. However, suppliers are also offering trade discounts which are hovering at INR 1,500/t, sources told SteelMint.
