Jindal Steel and Power Ltd has rolled over the Re-bar, structure and Plate prices for the month of May-13. JSPL has hiked the price of long steel by Rs 500/t and flat steel by Rs 1,000/t in March-13.
JSPL Re-bar size 12MM-32MM is offered at Rs 38,000/t (Basic) ex-works (Raigarh or Patratu). Heavy Beam size 600 MM is offered at Rs 45,500/t (Basic).
Prime MS Plate 11-20MM is offered at Rs 35,500/t (Basic), 21-40 MM is offered at Rs 35,800 and thick size 40-70MM is offered at Rs 36,600 (basic). Excise duty and taxes extra. Ex work prices.
SteelMint assessed that demand of flat product by domestic mill has improved over low import in the country. In April’13 India flat steel import was around Qty 2,27,700 MT against march import of Qty 2,95,000 MT.
