China’s top steelmaking city of Tangshan has lifted the orange alert for air pollution on 16 Dec’21, although steel production restrictions will continue till further notice.
- Nine blast furnaces, which were banked earlier, will resume operations but will need to prepare for banking around 20 Dec’21.
- Coking units, rated C and D, will be required to discharge coke after 48 hours, while B-rated units need to follow this rule before 20 Dec.
