India: Flat steel exports plunge 34%, m-o-m, in Nov’21

India’s flat steel exports stood at 0.53 mn t in Nov’21, a sharp decline of 34% against 0.81 mn t in Oct’21, SteelMint data reveals.

• Exports of HRC/plate edged down by 46% to 0.25 in Nov against 0.47 mn t in Oct
• CRC exports totalled 59,558 t, an increase of 4% m-o-m

Export volumes declined due to weak demand from traditional overseas markets as well as falling global HRC prices.
