SAIL held four pig iron auctions this week for around 20,000 t from Bhilai, Rourkela, Bokaro and Burnpur steel plants. As per recent updates received from sources, except the Rourkela auction, the company’s management cancelled all the other auctions due to low price realisation. Sources further informed that SAIL also canceled an auction for commercial rails from Bhilai due to the same reason.
