China: Steel imports rise by 26%, m-o-m, in Nov’21

China’s steel imports in Nov’21 rose to 1.42 mn t from 1.13 mn t in Oct, a m-o-m rise of 26%, as per data recently released by customs.
Steel production curbs since the past few months has increased China’s import bookings.
However, steel imports fell by 30% in Jan-Nov’21 to 13.26 mn t compared with 18.86 mn t in the same period last year.
