Indian Railways invites Tender for Purchase of Structural Steel

Railway Board, New Delhi invites e-tender from indigenous producer for purchase of MS Structural items.

Tendering process would be based on e-tender; no manual offers will be accepted.

Tenderer should clearly mention Ex-Works basic price, packing price, forwarding charges, excise duty, educational cess and sales tax/VAT applicable for each unit tendered.

Delivery mode shall be preferred by road, consignee shall be intimated by Director Railway Stores (I&S), Railway Board, Kolkata at the time of release of supply orders.

General Conditions

• Steel producer should be indigenous main producer of steel having integrated steel plants, which includes in-house Iron making followed by production of liquid steel & crude steel with in-house rolling
• Tenderer must have BIS license for re-rolling of required material
• Tenderer must have supplied experience of mentioned products (see table); they have at least supplied of 20% of quantity to any railway board during last three financial years
• Tenderer having valid BIS license or ISPs who have not above supplied experience, may be considered for educational/developmental order if found deserving otherwise

Delivery: After finalizing of tender, it will be based on Running Contract basis, valid for 12 months from the date of issue of the contract.
