Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd (GPIL) has lowered domestic pellet offers by INR 1,000/t ($13/t) to INR 9,800/t exw ($131/t) from INR 10,800/t on 24 Nov’21. Some central India-based producers are offering pellets at INR 9,500/t ($127/t) exw-Raipur. The decline in sponge iron prices, NMDC’s iron ore prices, and cost-effective material from neighbouring states resulted in a drop in pellet offers.
