Extending support to commercial coal miners, the Union Coal Ministry has increased the rebate on final offer to 50% from the existing 20% on total quantity of coal consumed or sold for coal gasification and liquefaction projects. It may be noted that the provision has been revised for coal blocks proposed for sale under the third tranche of commercial coal block auctions.
