State-owned leading long steel producer, Vizag Steel, has scheduled an e-auction for around 1,000 t of steel grade pig iron on 17 Nov’21. The steelmaker’s previous pig iron auction conducted on 6 Nov for around 2,400 t was concluded at INR 42,850/t exw. Recovery in supplies and falling raw material prices resulted in domestic pig iron prices correcting lower since mid-Oct.
