Iran’s Deputy Industries Minister has informed that the country’s installed crude steel capacity has exceeded 40 mn t. The target capacity of 55 mn t is expected to be achieved by 2025-26, out of which 40 mn t has been already realised. Another 7 mn t of capacity will be added in the current fiscal. Iran produced 29 mn t of crude steel in 2020.
