- Japan’s leading steel producer, Tokyo Steel, has lowered scrap purchase bids by JPY 500/t ($4) for its Tahara steelworks from 3 Nov’21.
- Post-revision, the company’s bid price for H2 scrap stands at JPY 57,500/t ($506) for the Tahara works, while prices for the other plants remain unchanged, as per reports.
- Notably, this is the company’s second price revision after the $9/t cut last week.
