Steel inventories at key Chinese mills jump over 7% from end-Sep’21 – CISA data

Data from the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) shows that in mid-Oct’21 steel inventories at key mills stood at 12.84 mn t, an increase of 3,900 t from the previous month and up 892,100 t from end-Sep’21 – a rise of 7.46%. However, inventories at steel mills decreased by 844,200 t over the same period last year, thereby edging down 6.16%.
