Russia: Coal output rises 3% in Sept’21 on strong demand

Russia’s coal production recorded a 3% m-o-m increase to 36.08 mn t in Sept’21, data from the energy department showed. Coal output stood at 315.9 mn t during Jan-Sept’21, up 8% y-o-y, customs data revealed. Robust coal demand in China has compelled Russian miners to ramp up coal production.
