An auto component manufacturer in north India conducted two auctions on 19 Oct’21 for around 1,000 t of CR steel scrap from its plants in Gurgaon and Haridwar. As per updates received from sources, the auctions witnessed the entire scrap quantity getting booked at INR 44,000/t exw from the Gurgaon unit, while the material was booked at INR 44,500/t exw from the Haridwar plant. SteelMint’s Mandi DAP CRCA scrap loose assessment yesterday was at INR 43,300-500.
