- Tokyo Steel has announced a hike in scrap purchase prices for the fourth time in Oct’21.
- The steelmaker has raised bids by JPY 2,000/t ($17) for all its plants, effective from 19 Oct.
- Post-revision, the company’s bid price for H2 scrap will stand at JPY 54,000/t ($472) for the Utsunomiya plant and JPY 56,000 ($490) for the Tahara steelworks, sources informed SteelMint.
