South Africa’s Transnet Port Terminal has declared force majeure at RBCT Port until further notice following a fire that broke out on 13 Oct’21, as per the latest notification. Several routes alongside the terminal have also been damaged, further delaying operations. This disruption at RBCT is likely to further boost coal prices, which are currently trending at $244/t for Nov’21 deliveries.
