South Korea: Scrap imports fall 18% m-o-m in Sept’21

South Korea, a leading ferrous scrap consumer, has recorded imports of the material at 0.41 mn t in Sept’21, down 18% m-o-m against 0.5 mn t in Aug.
Japan was the largest supplier with 0.24 mn t, followed by the US and Russia at 0.13 mn t and 0.03 mn t, respectively.
On a yearly basis, imports increased by 37% from 0.3 mn t in Sept’20.
