Nepal: Finished flat steel imports up 20%, m-o-m, in Sep’21

Nepal’s flat steel imports stood at 54,228 t in Sep’21, up 20% compared to 45,154 t in Aug, as per customs data.

Product-wise imports:

• HRC/plates: 30,564 t in Sep, up 16% on the month.
• CRC imports drop 13% to 3,632 t.
• Galvanised and electrical steel imports at 4,852 t and 109 t, respectively.
• Imports by Nepal declined in Jul-Aug due to weak seasonal demand.
