Ferrous scrap prices witnessed minor changes across markets on 27 Sep’21. While prices in the northern, central and eastern regions saw an uptick due to improving sponge iron and semis prices, in the western region prices had to be adjusted owing to production cuts/shutdowns by a few induction furnaces, particularly in Gujarat. Only minor changes in prices could be expected in the near-term, trader sources informed.
