SAIL held an auction for 2,000 t of basic grade pig iron (in 20 units) on 21 Sep’21 from Rourkela Steel Plant. Buyers booked the entire quantity of 20 units at a weighted average price of INR 40,850/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bid prices increased by INR 3,350/t ($ 45/t) in comparison with the previous auction on 8 Sep.
