Domestic melting scrap prices fluctuated across markets. In north India prices remained supported due to positive movements in the semi-finished steel market, while scrap prices were recorded stable in Chennai. In the western region, however, prices varied in Gujarat and Maharashtra where bid-offer disparity remained, as buyers tried to recover their spreads over limited finished steel demand.
