China: Iron ore prices fall back to $100/t levels on bleak outlook

The spot price of benchmark iron ore Fe 62% fines fell further by $5.7/t to $100.50/t CFR China as buyers remained on the sidelines due to uncertain market conditions. There were plenty of offers with limited bidders which resulted in prices sliding, especially portside prices in China. The bearish market also kept discount levels of mainstream iron ore fines under pressure.
