At SAIL’s auction for 8,000 t of basic grade pig iron on 14 Sept’21 from the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh, the entire quantity was booked at a weighted average price of INR 38,150/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bid prices increased by INR 530/t ($7) compared to the previous auction on 3 Sept, which had been concluded at a weighted average price of INR 37,620/t exw.
