SAIL held an auction for one lot (500 t) of basic grade pig iron on 9 Sept’21 from its IISCO Steel Plant (ISP) in West Bengal. Buyers booked the entire quantity at INR 37,000/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bid prices decreased by INR 125/t ($1/t) compared with the previous auction on 1 Sept, which had concluded at a weighted average price of INR 37,125/t exw.
