USA: Ferrous scrap exports down 12% on month in Jul’21

US ferrous scrap exports witnessed a drop of 12%, m-o-m, to 1.38 mn t in Jul’21 against 1.57 mn t in Jun, as per customs data compiled by SteelMint.
Mexico was the top importer with 0.29 mn t of exports in Jul followed by Turkey and Malaysia with 0.27 mn t and 0.14 mn t, respectively.
However, on a yearly basis, exports increased by nearly 13% from 1.22 mn t in Jul’20.
