Pakistan: Major steel mills lift re-bar offers by $36/t

Major steel mills in Pakistan have increased their re-bar offers effective from 31 Aug’21, as per sources.
Offers increased owing to current market trends and hike in costs of ferrous scrap.
The new ex-factory rates for deformed bar have been increased by PKR 6,000/t exy ($36), inclusive of taxes. Rates were at PKR 169,000/t exy, as per the last SteelMint assessment on 24 Aug.
