Portside trading activity of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) grade coal remained muted today with only 5,000 t of deals being heard at INR 9,400/t (ex-Gangavaram). Whereas RB2 offers at major Indian ports continue to remain the same as last week. Demand from sponge iron manufacturers has turned sluggish since the last few days amid a slew of auctions being held for domestic coal.
