Steel major SAIL held an auction for 3,200 t of basic grade pig iron (in 32 units) on 28 Aug’21 from its Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in Odisha. Buyers booked the entire quantity of 32 units at INR 37,500/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bid prices decreased by INR 200/t in comparison with the previous auction on 23 Aug, which had concluded at a weighted average price of INR 37,700/t exw.
