Australian thermal coal 5500 NAR offers are heard to have risen to $110/t this week as against last offers at $105/t FoB Newcastle. Buyers in India are not showing any interest in 5000 NAR Australian coal which is being offered at $102/t on FoB basis, informed participants. Australian 5500 NAR thermal coal has turned costlier against various other origin coals on a per CV basis: 53% against U.S. pet coke, 30% against U.S. 6900 NAR thermal coal and 7% against South African 5500 NAR coal, as per CoalMint analysis.
