Thailand: Ferrous scrap imports rise 13% m-o-m in Jul’21

Thailand’s ferrous scrap imports were recorded at 0.17 mn t in Jul’21 against 0.15 mn t in Jun, up 13% on a monthly basis, as per customs data maintained with SteelMint.
The US was the leading exporter to Thailand in Jul’21 with 50,000 t followed by Australia and Panama with 20,000 t and 10,000 t, respectively.
However on a y-o-y basis, imports into Thailand surged by 55% from 0.11 mn t in the same period last year.
