Central India-based Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd (GPIL) has lowered pellet offers for the domestic market, sources informed SteelMint. Current offers have fallen by INR 1,200/t ($16) to INR 12,300/t exw as against INR 13,500/t on 21 Aug’21. This is second price reduction in the last two days. Decline in pellet export realisations and drop in offers from nearby markets such as Raigarh and Jharsuguda have weakened pellet offers in Raipur. A deal of 10,000 t was heard concluded by a Raipur-based pellet producer at INR 12,500/t exw towards the end of last week.
