India: South African iron ore lump import offers fall $30-35/t, w-o-w

South African iron ore lump import offers into India have decreased tracking the slide in global iron ore prices, as per SteelMint reports. The current assessment for imported lump (Fe 65%) stands at $155-160/t CNF Kandla. Meanwhile, benchmark global iron ore fines (Fe 62%) prices have decreased by $36/t, w-o-w, to $130/t CNF China on 20 Aug’21 amid steel production curbs. The spot iron ore lump premium has fallen from $0.36/dmtu to $0.21/dmtu over the past week.
