State-owned leading long steel producer, Vizag Steel Plant, has scheduled an e-auction for around 3,500 t of pooled iron on 21 Aug’21. At the steelmaker’s previous pooled iron auction, conducted on 11 Aug, buyers had booked 3,500 t at a weighted average price of INR 34,500/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bids had increased by INR 500/t compared to the earlier auction held on 2 Aug.
