According to data furnished by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), steel inventory at key mills in early Aug’21 stood at 14.62 mn t – an increase of 5.85% or 808,400 t compared to Jul. The increase in inventories vis-a-vis the beginning of the year hovers at around 25%. In comparison with the same period last year, steel inventories have risen by 632,100 t, an increase of 4.52%.
