SteelMint’s benchmark pellet sponge (P-DRI, FeM 80%) prices rose higher by INR 100/t to INR 29,800/t exw Raipur on 22 Jul’21. Prices continue to keep strong on account of sufficient orders with suppliers as well subdued demand.
About 3,000 t of P-DRI deals were reported at INR 29,700-29,800/t, while floated offers were at INR 29,800-30,000/t exw and FoR Raipur.
Prices of DR CLO grade sponge iron surged further due to supply shortage and manufacturers’ claims of receiving strong enquiries at INR 32,700-900/t as against offers at around INR 33,000/t exw.
