A delegation led by the Induction Furnace Association of North India (IFANI) met the Union Steel Minister Ram Chandra Prasad Singh recently to discuss critical issues facing the steel industry in Punjab. As per latest reports, K.K. Garg, President, IFANI apprised the minister of rising prices of steel raw material that were impacting downstream producers in the state and issues relating to power and oxygen shortage. The furnace operators reiterated their long-standing demand for a steel price regulator in the country.
