Melting scrap prices witnessed minor fluctuations across markets on 9 Jul’21. Prices remained supported in Gujarat and Maharashtra, even rising by around INR 300/t following upbeat semi-finished steel sentiments. On the other hand, nominal price corrections were seen in Punjab’s Mandi Gobindgarh due to sufficient supply of ferrous scrap for producers. Prices may witness an uptick, especially in the western region, trader sources informed SteelMint.
