South Africa: Ferro chrome exports fall marginally in May’21

South Africa’s ferro chrome exports touched 295,898 t in May’21 – down slightly by 4.3% on the month as against 309,312 t in Apr’21, as per customs data. With 105,210 t, China remained the largest importer followed by South Korea and Indonesia. However, South African export volumes increased by 49.2% y-o-y in Jan-May’21 compared with Jan-May’20.
