Taurian Iron and Steel, which operates a crusher plant in Jharkhand and associated with Singhbhum minerals (Jharkhand), has raised Iron ore Lump prices by INR 200/MT owing to improved demand from Sponge iron manufacturers.
Current Offers
5-18 mm (Fe 61-62%) = INR 4,900/MT
10-40 mm (Fe 61-62%) = INR 4,500/MT
Fines (Fe 57-58%) = INR 1,300/MT
All prices on Ex-plant basis, including royalty.
Additional cost of INR 200/MT for loading and transporting to nearest Railway siding.
According to trade sources, “Iron ore Lumps from this plant are largely bought by Sponge manufacturers in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Whereas, Iron ore Fines are purchased by exporters. Transport cost to Haldia comes out to be INR 1,200-1,300/MT”.
