Brazil’s Iron Ore and Pellets Exports Up by 10.25% in FY21

Brazil, the world’s second-largest iron ore exporter, recorded export volumes of 353.90 mn t of the material in FY21, up 10.25% y-o-y against 320.99 mn t in FY20. This included iron ore (fines/lumps) at 338.44 mn t and pellets at 15.46 mn t. China stood as the largest importer during the year at 256.45 mn t, up 27.24% y-o-y, while Malaysia was the second largest importer at 24.39 mn t followed by Japan at 10.40 mn t and Oman at 8.66 mn t.
