India’s total coke oven capacity in FY21 was at 38.95 mn t. In the east region, Odisha had a coke oven capacity of 9.78 mn t, Jharkhand 8.24 mn t, and West Bengal 2.28 mn t.
Chhattisgarh, from central India, contributed 4.74 mn t. From the southern states, Karnataka contributed 8.35 mn t, Andhra Pradesh 3.06 mn t and Tamil Nadu 0.50 mn t.
From the west, Maharashtra contributed 1.70 mn t and Goa 0.30 mn t.
